Join us and explore some seasonal flavors with a beer and heirloom tomato pairing!
Tuesday, August 25th, 6-7:30 p.m.
- $30 – Includes 5 beer and tomato pairings, guided by Brewer, Jessica Jones, and Squashington Farm farmers Sarah & Patrick!
- Auction – In addition, attendees will receive an auction paddle to bid on produce from the farm! Proceeds from the auction will further benefit FairShare CSA Coalition as part of our Bike the Barns team fundraiser!
Squashington Farm is a certified organic CSA and market farm in Mt. Horeb, WI. Farmer/owners Sarah & Patrick will join us with 5 of their varietal heirloom tomatoes, which we will pair with some Giant Jones brews!
We’ll explore pairing principles, and gain an enhanced understanding of the flavors and aromas present as Giant Jones Brewer, Jessica Jones, guides us through each pairing and discusses how flavor compounds are developed in beer, and how the perception of those is enhanced, and shifts, when paired.
Between pairings, we’ll be auctioning off some very special and delicious seasonal produce from the farm – a Beeeautiful Beet? A Perky Potato? Some Zany Zucchini? Be ready to make your bid and take home something fun and tasty!
