Great Taste Eve Eve Beer Release!

It’s the night before Great Taste Eve, which is the day before The Great Taste of the Midwest, so why not have a special beer release?!

Join us in our tasting room as we tap our Paint It Black Braggot!
Paint it Black is our extra stout brewed with honey. Soft barley, floral honey, and roasted grains provide a light fruitiness with a gentle edge. It’s been 3 years since we last made this one…
We will also be releasing our latest batch of our GABF Bronze Medal winning beer, Doppelsticke Altbier!

Extra Blonde Ale Release!

Hello Summer!!!
Our Extra Blonde Ale is back in time for long sunny days…
First released last year for our 4th Anniversary Party, we have this “summer barleywine” back in full force.
Made simply with organic pilsner malt & organic taiheke hops – usually reserved for dry hopping double IPA – plus organic yeast, of course. The correlation to our favorite beer style (barleywine) is valid, yet this is designed for sunnier days.
See you Thursday!!!

Belgian-Style Blonde Release!

We’ve got another BRAND NEW BEER coming for you!

This Belgian-Style Blonde ale clocks in at 7%. Light, crisp and refreshing you can’t have just one.

It’s the first time Jessica has made this one so come on by and let us know if you’d like to see this one again.

On tap AND we will have bottles of this one to-go!

Giant Jones Pop-Up at Awildan

Awildan Distilling will release our first aged spirit– a barreled version of their Genever. The release event is scheduled for April 22nd, 2023 and will also feature a Canadian-Style Spruce beer brewed in collaboration with us here at Giant Jones!
Our Giant Jones Pop-up will be at Awildan from 12pm-4pm. There will be music by folk musician Andreas TransØ (4pm-6pm), and food from Melted Craft Grilled Cheese food truck.
From Awildan’s Website:
What is a barreled Genever you ask? We put our Genever in an ex-bourbon cask for over 10 months. The result is a truly unique spirit where the single malt whiskey base spirit shines through, with additional sweetness from the white oak barrel. Juniper, floral notes, and orange citrus sit atop, lending complexity that continues long into the finish. Needless to say, this spirit pushes the boundaries of what a botanical spirit and whiskey hybrid can be.
If you’ve stopped by the distillery, you may have heard me mention single malt whiskey a few times. My first serious exploration of the world of distilled spirits centered on Scottish single malt whisky, and my passion for it prompted my pursuit of opening my own distillery. One of the hardest parts about opening a distillery focused on whiskey production is waiting for the whiskey to mature. At Awildan, it’s 3-5 years minimum depending on the cooperage. With releases like this Barreled Genever, and the Progress Report whiskey being released in November 2023, I’m excited to give people a preview of what Awildan Distilling is all about.
