We’ve got new art hanging on our walls from Kate Olsen Birner! Their work will be showcased here at Giant Jones through 9/14.
Kate is a visual artist based in southwestern Wisconsin. Their skills and specialties include, but are not limited to: portraits, painting, bottle cap mosaics, collage, mixed media and large-scale work.
They have been a working artist since college and an art educator for 35 years.
Their use of color and pattern is heavily influenced by the pre-Columbian and Native Peruvian (Quechua) artwork to which they were exposed as a child.
Stop by to meet the artist and check out their show “Courage”. There will also be live music from SoaringTortoise!

“I’m an old man, and putting together a show of my work feels a little ominous. Will this be my final public statement? Can I say, or play, everything I want to in this small show at a brew pub? Not likely, but the temptation to try is there.”
Showing – 6/24-8/2
Closing Reception 8/2 5pm-9pm; meet the artist AND enjoy music from local musicians who support the artist from 7pm-8pm.

Once again we have a selection of work from the latest graduates from UW-Madison’s Printmaking program! These limited works will be up through 5/10 and many items are for sale. Stop by and grab a beer and see what these talented students can do. AND maybe walk home with something new and fun for your wall at home!
Join us for our opening night on Thursday 5/1!

Giant Jones very own Kate has some more art hanging up in our tasting room! If you missed her last two shows, or were a fan, you don’t want to miss this one.
Come by Friday 4/11 for the official opening of her latest work; Soft Openings. Grab some beers, talk with the artist and maybe buy some art!!!
Kate is a Madison-based, Maine-born textile artist whose work hinges pop art, American iconography, and the Industrialization of traditional rug-making craft.
