Amphitrite

Who is Amphitrite?

In early Greek mythology Amphiteite, Queen of the Sea, was a major figure alongside Hera, Poseidon, and Zeus. Yet, she was all but forgotten by the time the Romans dominated the region and appropriated Greek mythology; deemed Salacia, goddess of remote deep salt water. This illustrious nymph graces our Grand Porter label, as Porter was once the most important style in modern beer production, yet is only occasionally found today.
