Babe the blue ox's story
Babe or their companion Paul seemed like obvious choices for the giant to personify this great big American ale. Yet, a full embrace of the logging – or clear cutting of North America – ethos of the legends along with the possibility people might call the beer Bunyan Barleywine – too close of a homonym to bunion – made Babe the Blue Ox our clear choice. American Barleywine is a feast of the agricultural ingredients that give us beer – barley and hops; there are lots of each here! Babe is regaled with a hop garland and featured as the living engine of their barley field. Plus, check out that old growth forest!
