DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of art celebrating a new show\, featuring recent work by Jason Ruhl.\n\nMadison-based artist Jason Ruhl works predominantly in print-based media\, taking fragmented pieces of graphic ephemera and reworking them into simplified\, enigmatic images. His current body of work is the result of a collaborative process\, in which lists of songs solicited from other people inspire unique print works that are then mailed back to the participant.\n\n“Since first encountering Jean Arp’s Untitled (Collage with Squares Arranged according to the Law of Chance) in an Art History class in the late 90s\, I have been captivated by the notion of serendipity. This fascination has evolved into an exploration of the balance between chance and intention in my work. At what point does this embrace of randomness shift from unique inspiration to a tired cliché? This question pushes me to navigate the fine line between spontaneity and predictability. Each piece becomes a conversation between the unexpected and the meticulously fabricated. If I am not in complete control of the creative process\, does that undermine the authenticity of the work? Or does it open doors to possibilites that I could never have anticipated?”\n\nStop by\, meet the artist\, grab a beer and maybe buy some art!

Bike the Barns is FairShare’s largest fundraiser\, supporting our work and the Partner Shares Program\, which helps low-income households afford farm-fresh veggies. \nHere’s how to join us in raising funds to support FairShare’s mission! \nJoin the team! \n\n Sign-up as a fundraiser rider for Bike the Barns\nJoin the Giant Jones online fundraising team through Raisely\nEach rider must raise at least $80. Our fundraising goal will be equal to or greater than the $80 minimum per rider.\nHelp promote the fundraiser to your own network\nHelp organize and support a team fundraiser event hosted at Giant Jones!\n\nGJ team rider perks: \n\nMonthly Saturday or Sunday ride (a casual/social meet up) – Possible ride dates: 6/27 or 28\, 7/25 or 26\, 8/29 or 8/30Team riders can meet up at Giant Jones before the ride\, or come by after the ride to re-fuel.
